Basic terms for using Chinese Color Atlas, a Chroma Cathay project by TOTM Tech.
Use of the site
Chinese Color Atlas provides traditional Chinese color references, design resources, sample downloads, and product information. You may browse the site and use free samples for evaluation and design workflow testing.
Use of the iOS app
The Chinese Color Atlas iOS app is part of the same Chinese Color Atlas / Chroma Cathay service. App features, website content, sample downloads, external links, and related documentation are governed by these terms. The first iOS release does not sell or unlock paid digital content inside the app.
Intellectual property
Chinese Color Atlas is a Chroma Cathay project by TOTM Tech. The Chinese Color Atlas brand, site design, written explanations, product packaging, and curated datasets are owned by Chroma Cathay or licensed to us. Source materials may have their own licenses, which are noted where relevant.

Paid products
Paid resource packs, when offered on the website, are sold as digital downloads through Polar checkout. Your purchase grants access to the files listed on the product page under the stated license terms. These website purchases do not unlock additional paid digital content inside the current iOS app. If in-app purchases are added later, these terms will be updated.
API Beta service
The API runs as a production service for server-to-server calls and is available to manually activated Beta accounts; direct calls from a browser are not supported. It provides access to 161 traditional Chinese colors. Subscriptions are available through Polar, and the service does not include a service-level agreement (SLA). Payment does not activate access automatically: within 24 hours after we manually verify payment and receive a valid RSA public key file in JWK format, we send an API key encrypted to that key. Keep the matching private key secure. Do not use the service to reconstruct or redistribute the underlying dataset.
Price, quotas, and renewal
The API costs US$19 per month, billed by Polar on a monthly renewal schedule tied to your purchase date. Each UTC calendar month includes up to 2,000 color inputs for matching and 1,000 name searches. Quotas reset at the start of each UTC month, separately from the purchase-date billing cycle, and do not roll over. Requests beyond either cap are rejected. There are no automatic top-ups, overage charges, or other usage charges. Initial activation and renewals are handled manually; payment alone does not activate or renew access.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the site, scrape it at abusive rates, interfere with service availability, or redistribute paid resources without permission.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product and resource packs evolve. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
