Privacy Policy
How Chinese Color Atlas handles basic privacy and contact information.
Data we collect
Chinese Color Atlas is a mostly static site. We may receive your email address and message content if you contact support or purchase a digital resource pack.
iOS app data
The Chinese Color Atlas iOS app is designed to be local-first. Photo color extraction is processed on your device; the app does not upload your photos for extraction. Favorites, palettes, language preference, and reminder preference are stored locally on your device. If you enable daily reminders, notification permission is used only to schedule the daily color reminder.
Figma plugin data
The free Chinese Color Atlas Base plugin does not make network requests and does not upload Figma files, layers, selections, or personal data. It stores only the slugs of up to six recently chosen starter colors in Figma clientStorage on your device/account so your palette can be restored. The plugin reads the current selection count and modifies selected fills or creates cards, palettes, and local Variables only when you explicitly choose those actions.
How we use data
We use contact information to reply to support requests, support digital purchases, and improve the product. We do not sell personal information.
Analytics and hosting
Hosting providers, Google Analytics 4, or payment platforms may process technical data such as IP address, browser, device, and page visits according to their own policies.
Payments
Checkout and payment data for website resource packs are handled by Polar as the payment platform. Chinese Color Atlas does not directly store complete payment card details, and only uses order information when needed for fulfillment or support. The iOS app does not currently unlock paid digital content or process in-app purchases. If in-app purchases are added later, this policy will be updated.
